Postdocs and Research Staff:

9/1/2026 - We are currently recruiting a new research assistant to work on studies involving neural circuit changes resulting from chronic alcohol.  This position is ideal for recent college graduates looking for research experience before moving on to the next stage of their career.  Requirements include the ability to work with animals and an interest in neuroscience research, demonstrated by coursework, a relevant major, and/or previous research experience.  The position is available for an immediate start date. Please get in touch via the Contact form from the menu above.

Graduate Students:

Please apply through the UMass Amherst Neuroscience and Behavior Graduate Program (https://www.umass.edu/neuroscience-behavior).  Applications are generally due in early December each year.  Feel free to contact us with any questions (such as whether or not we are accepting new students in the coming year).

Undergraduate Students:

Unfortunately, we are not currently taking new undergraduate students in the lab.  This message will be changed when we are accepting new applications.  Please check this page and PROPEL (see below) for any updates.
UMass Amherst undergraduates should apply though the PROPEL program (https://propel.umass.edu/).  Any available positions will be listed there.  If nothing is listed there, then we are currently not recruiting new undergraduate research assistants.  Undergraduate students from other universities/colleges can contact us to see if positions are available.
